Vic Hill and his #1 team made the trip to both I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater, Tennessee and Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, Tennessee on April 18-19 for a pair of Schaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals Series battles. On Friday night at I-75, a $10,053 top prize was up for grabs and 40 Super Late Model competitors were in the pit area. Vic unfortunately narrowly missed out on the 53-lap feature after running sixth in his heat race and fourth in his B-Main.
At the bad-fast Tazewell Speedway on Saturday evening, a $21,000 winner's check was on the line in the annual running of the Lil' Bill Corum Memorial. Vic knocked down the fifth quickest time in Group A during the qualifying session before placing second in his heat race behind only winner Mike Marlar. In the 75-lapper, Vic started the race from the inside of the fifth row and ultimately wound up ninth in the final finishing order.
