The Vic Hill Racing (VHR) team invaded North Georgia Speedway on Saturday night, September 20 for the annual running of the 'Young Memorial.' The Southern Thunder Super Dirt Series sanctioned the single-day showdown in the Peach State and a $7,500 paycheck was up for grabs.
With 26 competitors in the pit area, Vic Hill went seventh quickest in Group B during the qualifying session and later rolled off from the outside of the seventh row in the 50-lap main event. Unfortunately, Vic pulled off the racing surface with a broken j-bar on a lap-40 yellow flag after vaulting up inside of the top ten. The Mosheim, Tennessee native was relegated to a disappointing seventeenth place effort due to the mechanical trouble. Full results can be accessed online at www.southernthunderseries.com.
